This special event is for CTE state leaders, administrators and faculty, who are exploring how to increase their school outreach and recruitment pipeline, and their commitment and engagement to local employers. This pre-conference event is also for instructors in both secondary and post-secondary trade and industrial programs looking to grow their current STEM and manufacturing programs.
Early exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) is essential in developing crucial problem solving, design, and critical thinking skills. Through early access to STEM and CTE competency-based learning curriculum, we are preparing students to drive one of the fastest growing sectors of our economy: Industry 4.0 and Advanced Manufacturing. Meeting the needs of tomorrow’s workforce depends on high-quality CTE programs to prepare its next generation of workers. This unique one-day ACTE pre-conference event will explore how to evolve your trade and industrial education programs into high-performing STEM and advanced manufacturing pathways, or how to start anew. You’ll hear from national experts who have successfully launched and supported new programs and industry representatives who are ready to support you. During this pre-conference, you will be able to get out of your seat and experience the power of hands-on learning in STEM curriculum-based activities led by subject-matter experts. You will also learn how the National of Certification Centers’ (NC3) competency-based programs bring value to both students and instructors through industry-driven career pathways.
